Disgusting service, was recommended this practice from my local vet after my 3 Was limping, was told it Possible Lisa, ent damage and should take him to see Dr House, I made an appointment and the vet after seeing him in the consult said it was full liagament damage and surgery could fix it, the vet said he could do it that day, so I left him for the surgery, I was told he would stay overnight for monitoring, then to call them in the morning, they said he was regurgitating up blood and he should stay another night, to call the, back at 4pm, I called them at 3.30pm and spoke with the receptionist as the vet was in a consult, she said he had only regurgitated once more but had perked up a little to call back at 10pm. I got a call at 8 pm from another vet that was now looking after him, she said he was a little better but as he was anxious his care could be monitored at home and I could come collect him, she was going to sedate him to take out the cathatre, which I am not sure why you would need to do this, knowing I was on my way to pick him up, I got a call on the way to say that he had gone into cardiac arrest and they were working on him, I said keep working on him until I get there, about 10 mins later I got another call that he had gone they had done all they could. On arrival we were shown into a consult room and the vet on duty came in and told us again that she was sorry and he was gone and that we could see him then, my son and I stayed with him trying to process the situation but we could not, as it was late and we were both unconsoleable we left him there to collect the next day, my husband and I went on Sunday to collect him, we waited in the reception area for about 5 mins and then the receptionist took us outside to a gate we’re she said we should wait for the vet to come out, and handed me an account, she said she wasn’t sure what would happen with this but gave me the invoices anyway, the vet came out and we took our baby home to bury. It has been 24 hours since we left and no one from VEC has called or emailed, nothing at all, no discussions, no explanations, no nothing just an invoice and our beloved pet to bury. Disgusting is all I can say.
